Fairway Fife

The Vision

To provide young adults who have a learning disability the opportunity to socialise and form natural friendships with their peers, in a safe, supported environment.

Why Fairway Fife exists

Fairway Fife recognises that many young adults with learning disabilities have daytime support but fewer chances to enjoy evenings, leisure time and friendships with people their own age.

Peer mentoring helps members build confidence, self-belief, independence, social skills and a broader outlook on life.

Our belief

All people, regardless of ability or disability, have unique gifts and strengths to contribute positively to their community.

Ordinary activities. Real friendship.

Community access

Bowling, shopping, clubbing, hanging out, pizza, films and everyday conversation.

Safe support

Professional staff support volunteers and members so relationships can develop naturally.

Reducing stigma

Shared activities help challenge assumptions and reduce prejudice around disability.
